Series 5: Faith at Work
We often think integrity shows up in big decisions; when everything is on the line and everyone is watching.
But Scripture tells a different story.
Luke 16:10 reminds us:
“Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much…”
Integrity is not proven in big moments; it is revealed in the small ones.
The Power of the Small
Our workdays are made up of small decisions:
- How we use our time
- How we respond to others
- How we complete routine tasks
- How we act when no one is watching
These moments may feel small, but they are shaping something deeper.
They are shaping our character.
God Sees What Others Don’t
Colossians 3:23 reminds us to work as unto the Lord.
This changes everything.
We are no longer working for recognition.
We are working from purpose.
This means the small things matter because God sees them.
Where Integrity Is Tested
Integrity shows up in:
- Time management
- Effort and diligence
- Honest communication
- Owning mistakes
- Stewarding responsibility
These are not big or dramatic moments.
They are quiet, daily choices we make.
The Challenge
Integrity is simple, but it is not easy.
We get tired, we feel overlooked and we are tempted to take shortcuts.
But small compromises can lead to bigger patterns and patterns shape who we become.
Building Integrity Daily
Integrity grows through:
- Consistency over time
- Intentional choices
- Accountability
- Dependence on God
It is not about being perfect.
It is about being in alignment.
Reflection
Take time this week to consider:
- Where have we been inconsistent in small things?
- What would faithfulness look like in our daily work?
- What is one small area we can commit to doing differently?
In the Kingdom of God, small things are never just small.
