Reflection Recap: Weeks 5–7
As we come to the close of Weeks 5–7 in the Ordering Time With God series, this moment is not about moving forward quickly but about pausing well. These weeks invited us to slow down, to examine how we steward time, and to realign our rhythms with God’s wisdom rather than cultural urgency.
Ordering time with God is not about productivity. It is about presence. It is not about control. It is about trust. These weeks called us to live intentionally before God, allowing Him to shape how we spend our days, our energy, and our attention.
Let this reflection be a space to listen, not rush.
Week 5 Reflection: Redeeming the Time
Key Scripture: Ephesians 5:15–16
Week 5 challenged us to see time as a sacred trust rather than a renewable resource. Scripture calls us to walk carefully, not carelessly. Redeeming the time means recognizing that each day is given, not owned.
This week asked us to consider where time leaks away unnoticed and where God is inviting greater intentionality. Redeeming time does not mean doing more. It means doing what matters most in the light of eternity.
Reflection Questions
- Where has my time been shaped more by habit than by intention?
- What distractions keep me from being fully present with God?
- In what ways might God be inviting me to redeem time rather than fill it?

Journaling Prompt
Write about one area of your life where time feels rushed or fragmented. Ask God to show you how He sees that space. What would redemption look like there?
Week 6 Reflection: Sabbath as Resistance
Key Scripture: Exodus 20:8–11
Week 6 reframed Sabbath as an act of obedience and resistance. In a world that glorifies exhaustion, Sabbath declares that God is the source, not our striving. Rest becomes a statement of trust.
Sabbath resists the lie that we are valuable only when we produce. It invites us to stop, remember, and delight in God’s provision. Sabbath restores our perspective by reminding us who sustains the work when we step away.
Reflection Questions
- What makes it difficult for me to truly rest?
- Do I view rest as obedience or inconvenience?
- How does my understanding of God influence my ability to stop?

Journaling Prompt
Describe what Sabbath currently looks like in your life. What fears surface when you think about slowing down? Offer those fears honestly to God.
Week 7 Reflection: Priorities in Seasons
Key Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:1–8
Week 7 reminded us that not all seasons demand the same response. God works in rhythms, not rigid formulas. Discernment requires recognizing what season we are in and responding accordingly.
This week encouraged us to release guilt tied to transitions. What was once right may no longer fit. Priorities shift not because we failed, but because God is faithful to lead us through change.
Reflection Questions
- What season do I sense God has me in right now?
- Am I holding onto a past priority that no longer aligns with this season?
- Where is God inviting me to let go so I can receive what is next?

Journaling Prompt
Reflect on a season you are leaving or entering. What has God taught you here? What is He asking you to carry forward and what is He asking you to release?
Bringing It All Together
Across Weeks 5–7, a clear thread emerges:
God is not asking for more time. He is asking for ordered time.
Time shaped by wisdom.
Time anchored in rest.
Time aligned with season and purpose.
Ordering time with God begins internally. It starts with listening before planning, resting before striving, and trusting before controlling.
Closing Prayer
Lord,
We thank You for meeting us in these weeks of reflection.
Teach us to see time as You see it.
Help us to walk wisely, to rest faithfully, and to discern seasons clearly.
Release us from urgency that does not come from You.
Anchor our days in Your presence rather than performance.
As we close this series, we surrender our schedules, our priorities, and our expectations into Your hands.
Order our time according to Your will.
Amen.
Looking Ahead
Next week, we begin a new series: Prayer That Connects.
This upcoming series will focus on cultivating a deeper, more honest, and more relational prayer life. We will explore prayer not as a formula, but as a living connection with God.
Take this week to rest, reflect, and prepare your heart.
The conversation continues.
Grace and peace as you order your time with God.
Until next time, remember, faith isn’t complicated.
It’s practical.
Walk it out one step at a time.
